1. Quality of publication over quantity 2. Contacts/network matter more than scores 3. USCE IS VERY important but do not pay 4000 dollars for an observership if you can help it. 4. It's never too late to start. My SR from the internship and I are applying to the same cycle 5. Residency is not easy! It's grueling hours in whichever country you pursue it in.
Can a mbbs earn by joining research in US.if yes how to apply and get entry.
Indian doctors in US sound artificial, money only cant give happiness , so many rules in USA make us a machine, i felt bored in US

am a 3rd year studnet rn, was planning on appearing for Step 1 in March 2025, hearing about this 500$ per month savings is really scary? what makes it really worth it in your opinion (other than it being what you want to do or like/love to do) also how long do we do the residency? also how long till you graduate to attending?
Can i pursue gynaecology in us thorough usmle please respond
Tmr i have my step 3! I am here for the tips😝
When did u give ur step 1 After mbbs or 3rd year of mbbs
After mbbs
Watch my step 1 video.
Explained so well! No bias whatsoever. Hope more influencers were this way.
Thanks boss ! xD
Welcome back doc. Love ur content add key points through the captions just an observation been watching you videos since long ankush here i specialize in video editing and have experience with projects similar to yours. I'd love to help enhance your videos content. I'd appreciate your feedback
How did u study pathology? Is doing u uworld only enough for pathology? I couldn't get pathoma videos around here that's why i am not using it now.please reply
Are they doing this discount every autumn?
Hi Is St john medical clg Bengaluru good clg? Does it have good network which will be helpful for usmle?? Plzz reply
Yes, the USMLE networking is pretty good.
I heard are still less chance even if u score well but dont have good lor and research background. is it okay to get lor and research by doing observership? Also what kind of research do you recommend? if EMR available and if it's not available?
Yes that’s absolutely fine !
During my rotations, definetly there was this feeling of overusing the resources, sometimes it felt we did more with less, here they do more but with a lot more.
Agreed!
I want but it's a huge amount of cost..😢
hi i wanted to pursue usmle but i’m not sure if i want to get into internal medicine. i’ve never seen an indian mbbs graduate who got matched into anything other than internal medicine and yes ik it’s hard to even get matched at all but are there other options to get matched into, for someone who’ll graduate from mbbs in india? i would love to hear suggestions of residency programs with chances similar to get matched into as internal medicine, for an indian img
Depends on what you want to do ! I know a lot of people in psychiatry, Peds
do you mind sharing how many hours of work do you average each week? can you please share you residency program ?
60-65
@@DoctorDeva seriously?😲, I can't believe how people can tolerate that for 3 years.
I'm so scared about planning to shift everything but very reluctant. Thank you for sharing expirences🥺
The USMLE exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed step 1after studying with so many materials😞
Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study, you also need to pray to God for success
@ very correct
I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together mbut she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the STEP 1 last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard
Please does anyone know who this Mr Richard is? I really need to speak with him I'm frustrated
Wow so sorry you failed, i have heard so much about Richard but I don't actually have his info
Is Family Medicine training in US better than GP training in UK or Australia?
Does having gap years affect your cv?
Just one
Sorry I meant I had one, but less than 3 is ideal
Can a indian doctor start USMLE in 40s
Hi Dr Sahana, how did you start preparation of usmle alone, and how you stay there in US untill you get residency. How you came to know all the things needed like LORs, Research, usc etc.
Do one need to work on english accent also if planning for MLE
❤❤Thankuuuuu
Grt ❤❤
My sister is doing her PG in medicine from a govt medical college in India. She's in a central college and paid a lakh per month with a fees of 5k per year.. so in govt college you end up saving ALOT. Also, how many years is PG there? Like here it's 3 years irrespective of the branch. What about there?
You guys goes to wrong institute.you guys should go to music & acting college instead of medical college 😂😂😂
Hello. Im in first year mbbs can you tell me which books should i read and how to start studying for usmle in first year? Please i'd like an answer :)
Thank you so much for being so transparent. There are so many videos on yt guiding us through the USMLE process, but nobody talks about how life is after you get there. Videos like these help us a build a realistic picture in our head and really bursts that fantasy bubble that we have about the american dream, and would help us in adjusting better instead of feeling disappointed. And as always - grass is greener on the other side. Wish you lots of love and happiness 💖
500 usd a month for savings Like seriously 😳? Is it a joke? I think it's not worth the hardwork one is gonna put into it
For me that’s enough, but I don’t save a lot either. So if you want to save more you could
But this is first year residents salary and the salary increases 4 times when you graduate
Does having personal connections makes it easier to get matched into any least competetive speciality?
Yes a lot of!
There is any need of electives before taking USMLE step 2 mam
As an incoming PGY1, I feel like this video was exactly what I needed to hear.
Thank you ! Do share it with your colleagues if you found it helpful
Awesome vid.... Since you've talked about loneliness, which 3 or 4 states or cities should we aim for, in order to yk, have a proper support system? Thx in advance and all the best!!
So beautifully explained !
Does the step scores depend on the kind of med college we study in ??
Nope only how well you study after
Can you provide us with a checklist of things to do before leaving college that cannot be done afterward, such as research and observership programs? My college is arranging one, so should I go ahead and participate in it? A checklist would be useful
Yes please go ahead ! It’s a good opportunity
thanks for your videos are super helpful for me. please make more videos about your current life as a doctor in the USA❤ (i´m from Colombia, i hope one day be a IMG doctor)
How you was know that that you should do and use these things
Good luck. I wish you all the success in your medical career ❤
Simple Answer sister ---> The doctor's profession is no longer as good as the public was led to believe. If you can afford to study outside of the country. There are also too many difficulties & issues there. There is no longer any scope for MBBS in India or Pakistan.
I think there is more nuance to this. It’s definitely not for everyone !
Thank you, doc! Very informative! 😊
Green card backlog is insanely late. Is it worth working on a visa all your life and no real hope of getting a green card?
Idk I’ll let you know in a few years XD
100 dollars per day salary per day , that’s like 8k per day and 2.4 lakh per month . As consultant US docs get paid around 5 times of how they get paid in residency . Nearly 500-600 dollars per day ,amounting to 20k per month . Life time earning of 10 millions ( inflation adjusted ) . Hope it helps
Average consultant salary in the US is 250K
@@DoctorDeva yes that’s what i said , 50-60 k during residency , to 250k during attending period ..
Yes except if you do med in Us where you have to take loans. Most people from India have their school paid for by their family.
Hi mam. Is it ok to have a slightly bad pic in the ECFMG CIF? Would it affect anything?
Define slightly bad! xD
